It was a evening time and Kanna’s father has not come home from work yet and Kannan and Yazhini were chit chatting with their mother.
Mom: Good Society is created by each individual’s contribution. Today I will teach you how we can contribute to our community. Listen carefully”
Kannan, Yazhini: “Okay mom!”
Mom: “Although the world has shrunk to the point where the Internet is in the palm of the hand, human beings’ interest in society has diminished. Trees are cut down to build massive buildings and make a profit. Deforestation is taking place everywhere. We are doing so many more injustices like this to our environment and community. The atrocities we commit and the consequences are as follows:
Through this we can know that many bad habits have infiltrated among us. Hence, we need to prevent these and be a good example for our friends and also motivate tour friends to do good deeds.
Kannan: “Mother, how can we contribute to a better society to avoid the consequences of these bad habits?”
Mom: “Fantastic question. This is a brilliant question to ask. Here are the contribution we can make for good society
Let’s contribute to the community by planting a sapling on our birthday along with sharing sweets to our friends. As well as creating a healthy living environment by creating a small vegetable garden to accommodate at home.
We must protect public property as our own property. Avoid writing, breaking, stealing, littering on the walls and furniture of public places and cutting down trees, etc.
Many of us are in need of blood due to accidents and diseases. There are few charity organizations that help and work for this. They will announce the date on which blood can be donated. During those dates we can donate our blood and help save a life. But for that we need to be healthy and free from any drug addictions.
Do not hesitate to help those elders when they are in need of your help. Never forget that they have helped you grow and get a good life.
For example: teachers, parents, grandparents.
Make sure to help blind people when they have difficulty cross roads/street or even for writing. Not just for blinds but also help anything that you can for the disabled adults and childrens. All human beings have flaws. So, don’t make fun of them.
A better society can be built by following the above.”
Yazhini: “Brother and I will join together in building a better society by following what you have said, mother”
Mother: “Good kids. I am will give you few training questions, trying doing those”
