2.1 Exercise Regularly

The morning sun had risen. Kannan and Yashini set themselves up comfortably in front of their mother to learn yoga.

Mom: “You can practice breathing before doing yoga every day. Listen carefully to the steps I tell you.

  • First, sit with your legs relaxed.
  • Then, place your hands on each of your legs.
  • Then, close both eyes.
  • Now inhale slowly.
  • At this point you will feel the stomach fill up with air.
  • Exhale as you would very slowly from a balloon.
  • Do this for 10 minutes.

Kannan: “Mother, what are the benefits of doing breathing exercises like this and doing yoga and
meditation?”

  • Reduces distractions and leads to better learning of lessons.
  • It also helps in weight loss.
  • Peace of mind comes through meditation.

Kannan: “How many types of yoga poses are there, mother? Can you explain?”

Mom: “There are so many types of yoga, baby. Here are 16 types of yoga exercises that boys can do.

Yazhini: “Yoga is a method of leaving the series does not leave to get a good mother?”
