Dad: “Speech, which is treated as one of the hallmarks of leadership, doesn’t just signify writing on paper and memorizing it. It means speaking in public on the stage without stumbling naturally.”
Kannan: How do we talk in front of strangers Dad? Can you teach easy steps for that?
Dad: It is natural for everyone who speaks for the first time in public places, at school and college stages, at ceremonies, at meetings to feel nervous, trembling, fearful, and confused. If one misses an opportunity fearing to make mistakes, is a fool!
Kannan: You’re suggesting “Make hay while the sun shines”
Dad: “Yes dear. You beautifully narrated it with the proverb. I’ll give you tips on how to develop speech.
Kannan: “Why do we have to quote proverbs, stories, jokes with lessons when we speak?”
Dad: “Adding them to the speech does not make the listeners bored. They will listen to what we say with interest.”
Kannan: “What are the benefits of the ability to speak naturally?”
